Introduction:
The NSS unit of St. Peter’s Engineering College organized a Blood Donation Camp on the 27th of July, 2024. This event was held in the Seminar Hall of our college in collaboration with Mahavir International and the Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society. The objective of this camp was to contribute to the health and well-being of individuals in need of blood transfusions, particularly those suffering from thalassemia and sickle cell anemia.
Objectives:
- To raise awareness about the importance of blood donation.
- To encourage students and faculty members to participate in this life-saving act.
- To support the Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society in their mission to provide adequate blood supplies for patients.
Event Details:
- Preparation: Prior to the event, the NSS unit conducted awareness campaigns and distributed informative materials to educate students about the importance and benefits of blood donation.
- Participants: The camp saw active participation from students, faculty, and staff members. Volunteers from the NSS unit assisted in organizing the event and ensuring smooth operations.
