As part of the 78th Independence Day celebrations, St. Peter’s Engineering College organized a series of cultural and literary events from the 12th to the 14th of August 2024. The events were meticulously planned and executed by the Cultural Committee, engaging students across various disciplines in activities that celebrated creativity, patriotism, and artistic expression.
Event 2: Origami Art Competition

Time: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
The second event in the series was an Origami Art Competition held on the 13th of August. Students were invited to create intricate paper art that symbolized national pride and independence. The competition provided a platform for students to display their artistic skills and creativity by crafting various patriotic designs through origami.
The Administrative Director, Mr. T. Anuraag Reddy, inaugurated the event, emphasizing the cultural importance of origami and its relevance to the theme of independence. The event was again judged by Ms. Arsha Reddy and Dr. Mani N Bacchu, who were impressed by the innovation and craftsmanship displayed by the participants. The Principal, Dr. K. Sreelatha, along with the other dignitaries, commended the students for their dedication to the craft.

The 78th Independence Day celebrations at St. Peter’s Engineering College were a resounding success, thanks to the efforts of the Cultural Committee and the enthusiastic participation of students. Over the course of three days, the events not only showcased the talents of the students but also fostered a sense of patriotism and national pride among all participants. The Principal, Dr. K. Sreelatha, along with the Secretary & Correspondent, Sri T. V. Reddy, and the entire management team, expressed their satisfaction with the success of the celebrations and encouraged the continuation of such activities in the future.
