As part of the 78th Independence Day celebrations, St. Peter’s Engineering College organized a series of cultural and literary events from the 12th to the 14th of August 2024. The events were meticulously planned and executed by the Cultural Committee, engaging students across various disciplines in activities that celebrated creativity, patriotism, and artistic expression.

Event 3: Elocution Competition

Date: 14th August 2024
Time: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

The final event of the celebrations was the Elocution Competition held on the 14th of August. The event took place in the Rojamma Hall and focused on public speaking, providing students with a platform to express their thoughts on topics related to independence, patriotism, and the role of youth in nation-building.

The Academic Director, Mrs. T. Saroja Reddy, inaugurated the event, encouraging participants to deliver their speeches with confidence and clarity. The competition featured inspiring speeches that reflected the participants’ deep sense of national pride and responsibility. Judged by Ms. Arsha Reddy and Dr. Mani N Bacchu, the event highlighted the oratory skills of the students and their ability to convey powerful messages.

Conclusion

The 78th Independence Day celebrations at St. Peter’s Engineering College were a resounding success, thanks to the efforts of the Cultural Committee and the enthusiastic participation of students. Over the course of three days, the events not only showcased the talents of the students but also fostered a sense of patriotism and national pride among all participants. The Principal, Dr. K. Sreelatha, along with the Secretary & Correspondent, Sri T. V. Reddy, and the entire management team, expressed their satisfaction with the success of the celebrations and encouraged the continuation of such activities in the future.
